In 2013, Jeff Cook, founding member of the super group, Alabama, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s. He chose not to disclose his condition for a few years. He did not want the music to stop or the party to end. It was important to him to continue the rigorous tour.
In 2017, Jeff decided to discontinue touring with the band. He knew it was time to slow down and let his body begin to heal. While many doctors were contacted, it was quickly realized there was a lack of education for the numerous people faced with Neurological disorders.
In November of 2021, the decision was made to bring people together to help educate and supply resources which would enable people to better help themselves and each other. At this time "The Jeff and Lisa Cook Foundation” was formed.
A commitment was made to bring like-minded people together to inspire and educate for the well-being of all those involved.
While we are fully aware of the journey, too often we face how it can take a toll on the caregivers. We want to help educate and give comfort to those who give so much of themselves.
It is Jeff and Lisa’s desire to assist and encourage as many people as possible.
So we all can live with “No Bad Days.”
